Teen's Ministry Sunday school begins at 10:00am
TEEN'S MINISTRY
Trinity has a small group of fun, exciting and energetic teenagers. They are engaged with a number of spiritual activities such as Bible studies, prayer walks, and wholesome discussions where they are allowed to express themselves. In addition, other activities range from movie nights to sporting events and from summer camps to King’s Dominion trips. These activities are designed to allow them to build godly friendships and to enhance their spiritual walk with the Lord.
Today, teenagers are faced with many challenges and temptations. These issues can be very frustrating and overwhelming. In an effort to provide strength and spiritual guidance, these areas of concern to the teens are discussed from a Scriptural point of view. Teens are taught how to apply Biblical principles in order to make good sound decisions.
In many instances when we attend church, we often hear pastors and leaders use the terminology, “apply what is taught and preached from the Bible to our daily lives.” So what exactly does it mean to apply and how do we apply what we’ve learned at church to the situations and trials that so many of us face on a daily basis?
Webster’s Dictionary defines application as: (1) the act of putting to a special use or purpose: the application of common sense to a problem.
Teens are challenged to present to their peers a particular application and how it can be used. So often when it comes to life challenges, they don’t always occur in church; it happens when we leave the confines of the biblical environment. Our scripture reference is Psalm 119:11- “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”
At the end, what is the “take-away”? The hope is these applications can be of use for them to recall what they’ve learned, when they’re faced with life’s many challenges.
Our Mission:
• To encourage teens to develop and maintain a
personal relationship with God
• To engage the young people with lessons and spiritual
activities about God
• To enable today’s teens to be tomorrow’s “world-
changers” for Christ
• To teach and lead young Believers about God,
inspiring them to live radically for Jesus
